| at SBEDIF Business Center (Small Business and
Economic Development of Ivano-Frankivsk)
Distance Learning Center of SBEDIF Business Center in Ivano-Frankivsk has been operating since June 1, 2001. The first results of DLC’s activities include on-line courses, which have been developed and delivered in the framework of the Ukrainian Distance Learning System project: “Registration of a Firm”, “Business idea”, “Business Planning”, “Customer Service Management”, “Manager’s Tactics” and others. The courses proved high quality and success with clients. The best features identified by students are convenience of online learning, authentic context and excellent customer service. Another important development was a joint distance learning program “Business start-up”, which has been designed and delivered with UDL System, Business Support Center of Lviv Management Institute and Business Development Agency of the city of Slavutych. In terms of this project DLC and UDL System have developed a draft Quality Standards for distance learning, which is being implemented by the DLC in its practices. UDL System provided professional development and training in technology and pedagogy, design of online courses for 5 instructors and consultant of SBEDIF Business Center. Through UDL System the Distance Learning Center has been able to build expertise and positive image in Ivano-Frankivsk academic community and at this point provides professional development to faculties of local universities and colleges. SBEDIF Distance Learning Center sees great potential for its development through cooperation and assistance from UDL System. Anatoliy Furda at the Head Training Center of UkrTeleCom JSC The management and staff of the Head training center of UkrTeleCom have realized that distance learning is real, they have seen the course actually created and operated by UDL.
