Distance modular program “Professional Development
in Distance Education”
The wave of distance learning has finally reached your institution,
and you are facing the choice:
- Option 1. You can buy the existing web-courses from
other educational institutions or trainings from consulting firms.
You don’t trust the quality -
- Option 2. You can place an order for us to develop
and adapt your courses and a whole program for distance learning.
You don’t have experience in teaching through the Internet -
- Option 3. You can develop web-courses or a distance
program yourselves and, at the same time, work on the web-learning
platform sharing its cost with other organizations (see more at
Course Incubator)
If the last option satisfies your interest the most, then our program
“Professional Development in Distance Education” is for you!
Why our Program
- The program has been developed in partnership with well-known
global universities: Loyola College, U.S.A., and Open University,
UK, and started operating in July 2000.
- The program has been tested in a number of universities and
business-schools in Ukraine and U.S.A. The main peculiarity of
the program in terms of pedagogy is bringing evident live contact
and individual approach to each learner into distance learning.
- Specialists certified by Central and Eastern European Network
(CEENet) teach at the program.
- Distance form of learning is used in combination with a short-term
training module (only 5 days) in the UDL Laboratory in Lviv with
the flexible schedule of studies.
- We offer teaching practice on the well-known web-learning platforms
(IMS standard).
- Training can be taken by a group of specialists responsible
for courses development and their further organization within
the framework of the educational institutions.
- Graduates of the program join our UDL Alumna and e-community,
which brings together about 300 teachers, professors and methodologists.
- The participants get an opportunity to establish contacts and
have internship at overseas Universities – UDL partners (15 trainees
have already had internships in Asynchronous learning in the U.S.A.).
